This coming week we will again be out behind the Civic Center each weekday for the noon hour. Our focus continues to be calling upon the City of Evanston to divest its holdings in Chase Bank and shift them to a community bank. Be sure to call the City at 311, ask for the Treasurer and tell him you support this divestment campaign.
To accommodate those who requested that we also be out Friday evenings, the last two Fridays we were at the Century Cinema from 7:00 to 8:00, but no one else showed up. So we have decided for the time being to just continue with the weekdays at noon plus Saturdays.
This Saturday, February 4, we will be in downtown Evanston, on the four corners by Panera, Barnes & Noble, Radio Shack, and Pret a Manger from 12:00 till 1:00. We will then adjourn to Panera for the General Assembly starting at 1:00.
